A heated pool in December
Southwest Florida winters are mild, but mornings can be cool. Beachy Keen has a heated private pool inside a screened lanai, so a holiday swim is part of the plan. Evenings are good for the fire pit and the BBQ grill.
Holiday events near the house
Cape Coral and Fort Myers fill up with holiday lights, parades and boat parades in late November and December. Our Cape Coral holiday events 2026 guide lists dates and details, including the Festival of Lights, the Holiday Boat-a-Long and Holiday Nights at Edison and Ford Winter Estates.
Eating out over the holidays
Not cooking this year? See our best restaurants in Cape Coral and Fort Myers guide for on-the-water dining, seafood, brunch and family spots, and call ahead because holiday hours vary. For beaches and day trips between the big days, see the Cape Coral area guide.
